As much as retailers try to differentiate their brand in a competitive industry, the supply chain challenges they face behind the scenes are not unique. Common ground issues like forecasting and inventory visibility should be seen as spaces for shared learnings, so we sought to better understand those ideas in our recent “Strengthening the Supply Chain” survey.
We were encouraged to see that one in three retailers say they have already implemented some form of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning capabilities in their supply chain management processes. And if they haven’t already, one in four are currently working toward that goal.
